The lads at Gigabyte also figured they'd release their own OC version. Gigabyte offers custom PCB, blue colored with a very nice cooler, it's adequate in cooling performance yet also remains 100% silent, you just cannot hear the thing.

The cooling solution falls under the GBT Windforce series coolers with what Gigabyte calls a smart dust reducing design. Interesting to see is that the fan can be regulated by a small jumper on the graphics card (see below). Pretty much the jumper activates one fan for four minutes, then deactivates and and then activates the other fan.

Once the GPU reaches 70 Degrees C the second fan will kick in again. The design is so silent though that we say, just leave them both activated. But a nice feature, sure. It's also very nice to see a cooler that is not A) reference or B) an Arctic Cooling fan for a change. And this cooler is just really good.

We mentioned already that the product is clocked faster, in fact it is factory clocked at 830 (as opposed to the standard 783) MHz. That means the shader processors run at 1660 MHz. The memory is kept normal at 3600 MHz. It however is amongst the most conservatively clocked boards tested today as other board partners even dared to go up towards 930 MHz. Still, we can tweak that out easily.

As the card will prove, it is a grand overclocker, 900 MHz should not be an issue with it at all, which means extra performance for the money you spend.

The card comes with two DVI connectors and one HDMI (mini) connector. A mini HDMI to HDMI adapter will be included in the package. This is a nice looking and performing card on all levels, as our tests will show you.
