Final Words and conclusion

Final words and conclusion

The KM570 is actually a pretty sweet keyboard for its price, I am certain it'll steal the hearts of many gamers as if you look good enough you will find deals at 59 USD for this Cherry MX keyboard. The switches work out nice and responsive and are the cherry (no pun intended) on top of the red cake. So yeah, G.Skill did it right by inserting a very decent entry-level kayboard that stays true to it's original roots. G.Skill offers this release of the KB570 in three flavors key switches wise, Cherry RED and brown have my personal preference, but blue is also available. In terms of that tactile responsive feel, the cherry switches rock. So yes admittedly, it's a good set of mechy keys alright. The price is hovering in the 59 USD marker if you spot a deal but can run upwards to 99 USD for the full msrp.

 Some Ripjaws

With all the RGB madness you'd almost forget that there are normal keyboards as well, the KM570 matches that original design, yet does offer some extras. The keyboard offers plenty of functionality and feels great. You really are receiving something well designed and comfortable to play games on. For me I'd put this product high on my short list as the feature-list is miles long aimed at casual gamers with specs that baffle even me. Now the animated lighting can be busy at times to continuously have enabled. Hey, you can dim it, disable it or just have it show one color just as well, remember this puppy can be setup to any and all of your desires and wishes. So yeah expect extensive features and specifications.

Final words

The Ripjaws KM570 MX is a great keyboard with a sturdy design that flags all boxes green (well red?). The sturdy feel combined with Cherry MX switches make this a proper gaming keyboard. It's a terrific keyboard to type on (aside from noise) and gaming wise it is very responsive. At first looks the KM570 feels rather basic. But then you realize it is programmable, offers hot-keys has a bit of LED animation going on and is fitted with Cherry MX switches. The keyboard feels incredibly responsive and handles NKRO without any issues. Like any mechanical keyboard and first time usage of this concept, it does take getting used to a little. Give yourself a few days with they keyboard to fully understand it and get a feel for it. As using a mechy definitely is a little different compared to your run of the mill keyboard. We do have to warn you though that if you use the keyboard for productivity (typing letters etc) then noise might become a factor to consider. Mechanical keyboards are simply more noisy when you type on them. The  back-lighting system is just downright l33t stuff animation wise and if you don't like it, just turn it off? Overall the entire series feels very sturdy in design as well, typing on it immediately gives you the feel that the product can take beating.

Guru3d-value

In closing, if you can spot it at the right price then this MX keyboard is easily one of the best value for money products as at (at the time of writing) you can spot it for 59 USD on Newegg. That's a proper mechy with Cherry MX red, blue or brown switches being red back-lit with animation options as well as being macro programmable. Face it, that is a tremendous deal. Pick it up if you need a set, or heck even go get a spare set of keys. This is a no-brainer value wise.
