So the eight 3.5" HDD brackets can also hold a 2.5" SSD, at the bottom side you need to secure it with four mounting screws.

It's a very simply solution really, but there's nothing wrong with simple as long as it's functional and effective. And it certainly works just fine. You can house a luxurious eight 3.5/2.5 drives this way. And should you need more space, the upper drive bay is removable making this a very flexible chassis.

Here we have the 5.25" optical drive locks, again a very simple mechanism. Once the DVD-ROM or whatever unit is inserted, align the screw holes and secure them with thumbscrews. You can install up-to two 5.25" devices.

And there you have it, the Fractal Design R4 chassis. Elegant, simple and definitely feature rich for a mid-tower chassis. There's a little lens distortion with the photo camera, it seems that my 1200 EUR L class Canon lens still is not perfect *sighs*

Yeah I like it, the clean looks mare just terrific. Combine that with the low noise levels and you have a winner. Taste obviously differs per person though. But let's head into the conclusion.
