Once we pop the chassis on it's back we can see tyhe bottom side, the case is resting on four rubber feet preventing resonating noises. The PSU will be located at the frontside of the chassis, there's a huge mesh there for ventilation and as you can see it' is protected with a removable dust filter.

Front panel IO then, as stated. Here's you'll find two USB 3.0 ports alongside the audio I/O, Power button with LED (blue), thjere is no reset button though. And once powered on the power LED will turn blue.

  • 2 - USB 3.0 (Internal 3.0 to 2.0 adapter included)
  • 1 - 3.5mm audio in (microphone)
  • 1 - 3.5mm audio out (headphone)
  • Power button with LED
  • HDD LED
Since there are no dedicated USB 2.0 ports you can connect USB 2.0 towards the USB 3.0 connectors as well as an adapter is included.

Internals then. First impression, that's not a lot of room to work in but it does offer surprizingly innovative features that allow you to install quite a bit.

Here we can already see the innards a bit better. The Node 304 accommodates up to six hard drives. Unused mounting brackets can removed to allow for long graphic cards, additional airflow or more space for organizing cables.
