Above Full HD at 1920x1080. Our scores are average framerates so you need to take a margin in mind for lower FPS at all times. As such we say 40 FPS for this game should be your minimum, while 60 FPS (frames per second) can be considered optimal with a 60Hz screen. If you want the best image quality settings we'd recommend a Radeon R9 280X or GeForce GTX 960 to start with. Obviously a 290X or 970/980 is preferred.

We move up towards the gaming resolution of choice for PC gamers anno 2015 Wide Quad HD or WQHD which is a resolution of 2560x1440. Let's call it a little more sexy opposed to Full HD ok? Monitor resolutions you'll notice that the numbers are start crumbling down significantly. Honestly you are looking at a Radeon R9 290X or GeForce GTX 980 for a proper FPS with these quality settings versus the benchmark versus this resolution. Quite honestly the 980 performed really good.

If you wonder what is happing with the R9 295X2 ... both GPUs are active, but it is a stutter fest dragging performance down, our FCAT results clearly confirm this. Let me also state that in certain scenes the average FPS overall can be lower, and inside building sometimes nearly double of what is shown above. We think our test is a good average though.
