Specifications and Features

Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz CAS 15 DRAM

So the memory kit tested today comes from that Corsair Vengeance RGB series armed with the very best ICs all packed nicely under heat spreader design of the DIMM module. First things first, this kit is specifically optimized for 6th and 7th Gen Intel Core processors (Skylake/Kaby-Lake) and the 100/200 chipsets but also supports the X99 Haswell-Skylake-E series.

  • CMR16GX4M2C3000C15 169.99€
  • CMR32GX4M4C3000C15 339.99€

VENGEANCE RGB Series DDR4 is built using high luminosity LEDs and precision engineered light bar to ensure light is evenly spread across without any “hot-spot”. Onboard LEDs means no external power required, no wiring mess, and provides an unblemished look of a high quality build. The aggressive-looking heat spreaders are anodized black with a black top clip that is reversible so your perforated logo will always have correct orientation. Each module comes with rainbow pattern as default; however, this can be changed easily using CORSAIR LINK, thanks to the ability to save profile to hardware.

  • Vengeance RGB is the latest high-performance DDR4 range from Corsair, designed for gaming and overclocking
  • Optimized for the latest 6th/7th Generation Intel Core Processors including H and Z170/Z270 chipsets
  • Four matched 8GB modules, designed for use in a dual/quad channel setup (multiple options available though)
  • 3000MHz memory speed with full memory timings of CL15-17-17-35 at 1.35V
  • heatsinks with a new fin design for more effective heat dissipation
  • RGB LED heatspreader that is configurable in color and animations

While Corsair adds aesthetic touches to the Vengeance RGB line, each Vengeance RGB module continues to carry Corsair quality and performance. Placing RGB LEDs, LED controllers, and support circuitry on memory PCB often lead to a significant impact on memory performance due to added electrical noise and voltage issues. VENGEANCE RGB performance PCB is an in-house design, extensively tested to ensure absolutely zero compromise between appearance and performance.

All DIMM modules are equipped with the new style heat-spreader that holds with Thermal Conductive Technology and the RGB LED strip. The memory chips have contact with the heat sink in order to ensure that both memory and the board operate at the same temperature and can thus provide the best performance. Once installed in the BIOS if supported, select the XMP profile for the memory and after a reboot you are good to go -- really it's that simple. If you do not have an XMP profile option in your BIOS, set the timings manually and set DIMM voltage a little higher to 1.35v opposed to an SPD 2133 MHZ config with 1.2 Volts. But head on over to the next page where we'll startup a product photo-shoot after which this article will dive into a benchmark session. Hey, we know you like it like it.
