Corsair Vengeance C70 review

Corsair Gaming cases with a Vengeance

Gigabyte uses Ultra Durable, MSI applies Military class components, heck even ASUS these days used military component selection in their marketing presentations these days. And sure, that is a trend.

It's now 2012 and I have this theory that the color of computer chassis are related to the social awareness and circumstances in the world. For example ever since 2008 we have all fallen into a worldwide economic crisis that has had an impact on everybody in some sort of way. Perhaps I may say that in that time frame you'd notice that the world became a little more grim, and all of the sudden we moved from white, bright or colorful product towards a more dark design. Look next to you, do you have a dark colored PC? Yep, I rest my case, or chassis if you allow me to make a pun.

I think, and I do hope that we all have had the worst already, and starting 2013 hopefully things should look much better and along these lines we'll probably notice more color in our hardware gear as well. Today we see a chassis that isn't 'colored' black anymore. If you re-read the first line in the first paragraph, you'd have noticed that military designs are cool to use in marketing as apparently that speaks to you as a consumer. Oh we're going military green my man!

Along the product lines of the Vengeance line-up obviously you guys, the gamers are targeted. Playing mostly war games these day. In that mindset it isn't all that weird for Corsair to think out the box a little. As such they have released a chassis based on a military concept. Military green, with handles to carry the chassis into that jeep of yours, but also military style buttons, panic style and everything.

Now before I continue, I must state that this chassis is available in white and black as well okay? So that means that Corsair is on a roll with new gear, three colors and with U.S. Army Drill Sergeant shouting hoohaaa boy the Vengeance C70 is outfitted for liquid cooling upgradability. You get 240mm radiator compatibility on top of the case, and if that’s not enough, you can remove the lower hard drive cage to fit a second 240mm radiator for a dual-loop setup.

Priced at $139 Corsair's Vengeance C70 case comes with built-in carry handles to make it easier to haul your system around. It also features a steel front pane, eight PCI-E slots, two USB 3.0 ports, six SSD-ready hard drive bays, and 10 fan mounts.

You'd almost forget that the Vengeance M70 chassis is a really complete mid-tower chassis that covers all bases, and you know the pun that follows here; all your base are belong to us :)

Let's march onwards, into the review shall we ?
