Here's an example of a HDD inserted. With AHCI mode enabled drives it can be hot swappable, very handy for quickly swapping out data.

So we stopped using the drive-dock, and closed the latch again. A little lower we see a power on switch and LED (white). But do you see the door to the right of it?

Check that out, it hides the frontpanel connectors. You'll have plenty of them including USB 3.0 x2, MIC/Headphones, two USB 2.0 and a Firewire connector. Below it, the 5.25" drive bays, (x4) 5.25.

When we move all the away downwards we stumble into another latch that can be removed, it's the dust filter for the 200mm fan sitting behind it, sucking cold air into the chassis. Again, this is one of these details I like so very much as within a second you get the job done. Small note, none of the fans have LEDs.
