So then, as always we start with the simple stuff, the packaging so you know what to look for in the stores. The PSU inside is packaged nicely and protected in a carton. Ours however is an early sample, so packaging might change a bit really.

The HX750i is an update to the HX750 with the main changes being an increase in efficiency, overall even lower noise levels and LINK control/monitoring. Fantastic to see (or hear depending how you look at things) is that the PSU remains fan-less until it passes 40% load. So up-to 300 Watt this power supply is 100% silent as it does not require any active cooling.

The PSU and cables all come in a carton packaging protected with plastic. The PSU is protected by a cloth pouch and the modular cables can be found in a pouch as well.

After unpacking, not a dent, scratch or smudge was on the unit. I like it, the PSU breathes this stylish matte dark finish with a black  theme. The PSU is ready for all current CPU & GPU generations and offers high capacity on its single +12V rail which is great for multi-GPU graphics solutions or really high end graphics cards. That's a whole lot of cables alright. GPU connectors for example, you'll receive six 6+2-pin PCI PEG headers being led over three cables. Not bad for a 750 Watt unit. The modular cables are made flat and are easily malleable to allow for ease of cable routing underneath the motherboard, behind drive bays and along the back of the motherboard tray.

At the front side we spot a small honeycomb air vent; it allows for optimal airflow running through the PSU, cooling down its components and keeping them nicely efficient. Also, obviously we spot the power connector and the on/off switch. Overall an easy to the eyes design.
