Taking a closer dive in...

Corsair has done the smart thing here in keeping the tried and true formula fairly well untouched. Sizeable earcups? Check. 50mm drivers? Check. Sturdy construction? Check. In fact, let's get onto that. Taking the unit out of its plastic caddy, we can see that the headset has a fairly standard steel frame, a feature it shares with the HS50. Whilst I do not have hands-on experience with its smaller sibling, comfort did not seem to be an issue with any major publication that I have looked at. So what about the HS60? Well...

Open-box

We have a winner, folks. These beat out my long-term Cloud II's as the most comfortable pair of cans I have ever worn. Period. Readers of any of my previous reviews of audio peripherals will know that I have a large head and that it makes headsets that I can tolerate for anything more than 30m quite hard to come by.

Well, as I type this, the unit has been on my head for over two and a half hours as I have processed the 'review' elements of this review. This has all been without the smallest sign of ache, fatigue, or wear on my head or ears. Whilst the unit does offer a nice range in terms of adjustability (both cups can move independently on a steel rail to the tune of about 3.5cm), the HS60s instantly snapped to the shape of my head, and stayed there. Corsair, well done. Good game. For this factor alone, they are worth considering if you feel like head size is a barrier to you owning a decent headset in 2018.

I guess I could also mention that the headband is very comfy as well, but I think I covered the whole 'comfort' thing fairly emphatically above. A very small point (that I feel is worth mentioning) is that the earcups themselves are not especially 'deep,' so if you have ears that... ahem, 'stick out a bit,' bear this in mind.

Again, subjectivity and 'per user needs', everyone. Keep that in mind. Lastly, the cups themselves swivel on hinges, allowing them to instantly form themselves to the contours of your head. This is important for me, as I do happen to have fairly jutted out cheekbones.
