You guys remember ESA that we have seen years ago from NVIDIA ? It's the same but more advanced though. Corsair's link technology allows you to monitor and control a selection of Corsair components like PSUs, memory and now the Hydro cooling solutions.

After installing the free to download LINK software you can monitoring efficiency, temperatures, control the fan RPM and a large range of variables really.

Above the default layout. As you can see the LINK software has picked up on the Hydra H100i cooler and is showing information for LED control, Pump and Fan control / Monitoring.

Snap4

Here we have selected LED control. You can select normal, Cycling and Temperature based color control for that Corsair logo that sits on top of the CPU cooling block. I love the RGB LED design and fool around with colors.

Snap5

More interesting are of course the fan mode. You can regulate the fans independently and configure them to your preference based on noise versus cooling performance. We'll test four modes today, quiet, Balanced, performance and Maximum.

Snap6

The pump also has an entry in LINK, leave it alone I'd say. It's pumping at maximum capacity which can't be heard anyways.

Snap9

There will be more LINK compatible gear in the future which you can connect it to.

Great to see is that the H100i also can get a firmware flash. The unit that we received made quite a bit of grinding noise initially. A known bug as it seems. Once we upgraded towards 1.0.4 firmware the solution became near silent in default mode. Great stuff to observe, even even greater that you can actually fimrware flash a liquid Cooling solution these days.

The software suite really is the icing on top of the cake that is the Hydra LCS unit. We definitely think it could look a little more modern though. The dull grey design isn't rather appealing. You can see it's made and designed by a programmer.
