Right, it's photo shoot time - woohoo ! Above we have the packaging so you know what to look for in the stores. The PSU inside is packaged nicely and protected in a carton. The CX600M is based on a Channel Well Technologies (CWT) DSAII platform. Quite popular in the more affordable segment of power supplies.

The PSU and cables all come in a carton packaging protected with plastic. The PSU is protected with plastic wrap and the modular cables can be found in a plastic bag as well. This PSU is 100% modular cabling wise. The CX600M has three wires creeping away that are mounted and thus non-modular. The two 4-pin CPU power connectors are flat cable, a lovely detail. So yeah, Corsair has attached the fully-sleeved 24-pin power connector roughly (600mm) and a anothe two cables that can be combined to form the 4+4-pin EPS (roughly 680mm).

After unpacking, not a dent, scratch or smudge was on the unit. I like it, the PSU has a stylish matte dark finish with a black/green theme. The PSU is ready for all current CPU & GPU generations and offers high capacity on its single +12V rail which is great for multi-GPU graphics solutions or really high end graphics cards.

A little on thwe shy side are the PCIe GPU connectors, you'll receive two 6/8-pin PEG headers. I'll show you an overview of cables on the next page though.

At the front and top side we spot air vents; it allows for optimal airflow running through the PSU, cooling down its components and keeping them nicely efficient. Also, obviously we spot the power connector and the on/off switch at the front side. The PSU is small in size and measures 5.9"(W) x 3.4"(H) X 6"(L); 150mm(W) x 86mm(H) x 140mm(L) in size, it has a MTBF rating of 100,000 hours. The front side has a honey-comb mesh for ventilation.
