Testing and benchmarking
Preliminary thoughts: impressive. The CPU after boot was showing (not overclocked or tweaked) an idle temperature of 29 Degrees C. And that's a Prescott Pentium 4 3.6 GHz processor, which can normally be used to fry an egg on, that is no joke! The next step is stressing the processor 100% for over 15 minutes and monitor its performance. Quite impressive also, we got a 39 Degree C temperature as maximum.

Mind you that with all our tests we have an ambient room temperature of 21 Degrees C. If it would be 30 Degrees C in the room that would have an effect on your processor as well.

Below are the results with the fan set at standard 12 volts. I would have liked to see a dimmer switch that would allow to control the voltage for the fan though.

So the results is the CPU in Degrees C idle versus 100% load. Next to that I threw in all kinds of watercooling with some different processors to understand the general consensus here. You do need to bare in mind that the CPU we used today is without doubt the hottest processor of the entire bunch. Results are fantastic, this CPU cooling solution is capable of removing a lot of heat (Watts) from the processor.

Our next step then is to overclock the system and see how well it behaves and quite amazingly, we have it now running 100% stable at 4.2 GHz. At this phenominal speed right after booting windows we see a ~35-40 Degrees C idle temperature at that clock frequency. Once we load the CPU 100% for a while that temperature will rise to a maximum of 50-55 Degrees C, which is absolutely lovely. Bare in mind we crammed up the CPU core voltage higher and overclocked that CPU an extra 600 MHz!

When you look at the graphs below you'll also notice the bursts of overall load. The minute the processor stops his work the temperature will drop within a second. This show that good heat drawing capacity of the cooling process. This is why I love water-cooling so much. It is a very effective and direct way of cooling.

As you can see Corsair's Cool solution offers serious tweaking possibilities for your system without the usual noisy environment, it is able to absorb a lot of heat and combined with the right components you can do stuff like this too!
