Corsair Carbide 300R review

On top we see a large mesh. Good for top side exhuast ventilation. The top mesh can be used for a radiator as there is room for a full 240mm radiator. Obviously you can go nuts with other fans here as well as installing a LCS (liquid cooling system) radiator. A dual 120mm radiator would be a breeze to install for sure.

At the front side at the top we see the power on switch and LED. Connectors wise you'll have plenty of them including USB 3.0 x2, MIC/Headphones. To the left we see a reset and power  on/off switch.

Here we have the right side panel (behind the back of the motherboards). There's plenty of room there for cable management, we'll show you that in a minute.

Internals then, since the photos are dark, bear with me. First impression, that's a very decent amount of room to work in for a mid sized tower alright. The second thought would be the all black design, including cables and connectors. The grommet holes lack black rubber inlays to hide cabling, but overall you can make it all really clean and tidy.

A good and popular trend these days is to make a big gaping hole in the motherboard tray. This actually is a CPU backplate cutout which allows you to remove and install a new CPU cooler much easier.

Typically you'd need to take out the motherboard to install a new cooler, now you can access it from both sides without that unpleasant experience of removing a motherboard from the chassis.
