Corsair LINK
Tthe AX 'i' series offer embedded monitoring, do you guys remember ESA that we have seen years ago from NVIDIA ? It's the same but more advanced though. Corsair's link technology allows you to monitor and control the PSU.
The example screenshots below are from the AX1200i review -- same thing for the 860i though. Under your control by connecting it directly to a USB header on your motherboard with the included cable, or to a Corsair Link Commander (purchased separate). After installing free to download LINK software you may monitoring efficiency, temperatures, control the fan RPM a large range of variables really.
You can monitor power input and output, efficiency, fan speed, and internal temperature, directly from the Windows based application.
Or alternatively set up and modify fan speed profiles, or even select from virtual single rail or multi-rail software modes, with selectable OCP points.
Corsair Link shows power-in, power-out, and the actual voltage level on all rails and connectors in real-time. It also uses the power-in/out data to calculate efficiency in real-time.
To link software is totally geeky, but I certainly seem to like it. The software goes beyond the one component by the way, The Dashboard will display diverse information based on the components used in the system. You'll see CPU and GPU temperatures, HDD and SSD temperatures, various fan speeds, and of course information regarding the AX i power supply.
There will be more LINK compatible gear in the future which you can connect it to. By the way i would like to stress that the figures should not be taken too seriously. We thing there's a bit of an offset for efficiency. None the less fun stuff.
