Performance - DDR3 Memory read | write

Memory Read test

So for memory we had some good stuff to work with, Intel has a couple of certified partners for memory to get some sweet XMP profiles going. One of them is G.Skill with their newly revised TrdientX series memory, their 4th reincarnation of their DDR3 memory modules.

Now with the regular memory at 1600 MHz versus AIDA memory tests we see good performance hovering at the 19K marker. When we enable the 2666 MHZ XMP profile (CAS11 / 1.65V) then we quikckly push 22K MB/sec already.

We did the same with the memory write tests. The write perf is mich closer to each other here, but absolutely rules.

I quickly want to show you this, if we overclock the processor (just by muliplier) and then add the XMP enabled GSKILL Trident X 2666 MHz DDR memory profile, memory performance will jump up significantly.

Indeed we pass the 25K marker here ....

Sandra Memory Index

Here we make use of the Sandra Memory performance test, it gives us an index score of overall memory performance.
