And then you realize the cooler won't fit as the heatpipe bumps into the motherboard PCH cooling block.

*sigh* we need to turn it 90 degrees and angle the fans towards the top and bottom positions, which is worse for cooling performance. Plus we need to reseat the cooler mounts, and thus reseat the entire mounting system again at a 90 degree rotated angle.

Right, another 15 minutes thrown away, we reseated the mounts, positioned the cooler, and secured it tightly until the screws can't be tightened any further.

Here we finally have the cooler installed. Now you'll agree with me, that surely looks a bit messy. You connect the two fans to a Y-splitter, and that connects to the CPU FAN header of your motherboard. Then ANOTHER Molex peripheral connector needs to be connected to your PSU, this one functions as power for the top side LEDs. Why did CM not tap them from the FAN POWER header as well?

Once powered on, the Cooler Master button on top of the cooler (looks like a fuel cap) will allow you to set the LED color to red, blue, purple and off. Though a bit pointless, admittedly it looks good.
