As always, packaging first, the box could not have been any more boring to look at, but it clearly indicates as to what is inside and what you need to look out for in the stores.

The chassis is covered in a layer of plastic and then sits in-between two sheets of Styrofoam. The chassis is well protected, we did not stumble into any kind of scratches or damage whatsoever.

After unpacking, there it is. The all new HAF XB, a cube PC that is very easy to carry around. It has a nice rugged black design, feels a little military. Proper intake fans, meshes, and quite a lot of options and features for a mid-tower in this segment. The front of the 912 XB houses a Cooler Master logo placed directly in the centre and below this we have the 5.25" bay covers.

To the right you can already see the two X-Dock slots at the front panel for lightning fast plug-n-play I/O.

The left side panel has a big nice mesh and on top a handle (there's one at the opposing side as well. The HAF XB indentation slash branding there is not disturbing, done just right. Look at all the meshes by the way, there's a lot of ventilation going on.

The top and both side panels can be removed so you can use the chassis as a fully fetched test bench where you can easily access components.
