Final words and conclusion

We think the Eisberg 240L Prestige is a very unique product. It sits inbetween the standard AIO kits and the very expensive enthusiast liquid cooling setups you assemble yourself. The Eisberg 240L Prestige allows you to connect more gear as everything has fittings heck even the coolant can be refilled. These are incredibly simple features, yet come preferred by many of you.

Performance wise we expected a notch more, this kit can be compared with the more niche heatpipe based coolers. The big plus of course is the extremely cool looks inside your PC and the very low noise levels. The pump slash reservoir slash cooling block however is on the bulky side of things. Realistically the Eisberg 240L Prestige shows good cooling performance, and sufficient performance with somewhat more extreme tweaks. The dual 120mm radiator makes a difference, cooling capacity is definitely good enough for even an overclock. But we have seen other LCS kits manage a little better though. Still, you can achieve a decent overclock on a Core i7 3770K and remain at acceptable temperatures. The big benefit is that the fans are fairly silent. The pump however you can hear a tiny bit. I'm incredibly anal when it comes to noise and yes, it did bother me a little.

Aesthetics

The looks are pretty good as far as I am concerned, all black design, easy to install with the mounting system, prefilled... it's one of the most easy and comfortable kits on the market to use and install. An all black design will make this kit look great in any PC, the cooling blobk is big though offers you the advantage of being a reservoir that can be refilled. Minor stuff like cabling has been done right as well, it's sleeved black. Taste differs of course but the design I think is well executed. A small note on installation, the Eisberg 240L Prestige is relatively easy to understand and thus easy to setup. The one thing I was bothered by are the threaded inserts you push into the motherboard. Once the spring based securing mechanism is applied these threaded inserts will rotate alongside the thumbscrew/nut you turn. With a motherboard like the Sabertooth you can't really reach the threaded inserts to hold them down, and that can be a bit of an annoyance during the installation process. I strongly recommend Cooler Master to look into that for the next generation. It's no biggy, though it is a topic of concern.

Pricing

When we look at performance the reality remains that the Eisberg 240L Prestige is a mainstream to high-end cooling product, well closing in on high-end performance, the Eisberg 240L Prestige will not reach the "enthusiast" segment  which I had hoped. But make no mistake, the performance is good, but remains to be just that if you compare it to proper LCS gear. Let me also remind you that you can easily spend 200/300 EUR on tubing, radiators, cooling blocks, reservoirs and so on whereas this all in one kit can be found for 150 EUR.

Final words

The Eisberg 240L Prestige is the hybrid solution for the guys that need something in-between an AIO LCS kit and the (for them) too expensive liquid cooling assembly. With the ability to change tubing and coolant the Eisberg 240L Prestige is a product that is easy to install, good looking and offers nice performing product. As you have noticed, the product is a bit more noisy than your average silent cooling setup, but in a closed chassis we doubt you'd be bothered by it. We did contact Cooler master about the noise levels and they think it's within normal parameters. Checking up on some other reviews we're not so sure about that. But hey, we write down what we measure, it is as simple as that. If you are worried about the temperatures you have seen at 1.3 Volts, well... this is the nature of the Ivy Bridge processor tested. You will likely not need 1.3V for 4400~4600 MHz. Armed with a two year warranty the Eisberg 240L Prestige is available as we speak. In Europe you can find the Eisberg 240L Prestige for roughly 150 EUR, in the USA you can spot them for as low as 160 USD after a rebate, which is a nice deal to be honest. The Eisberg 240L Prestige cooler comes recommended.
