Yep - I like it, the Scout 2 Advanced is a fairly affordable gamers chassis that offers a little extra in terms of USB 3.0 support and of course that extra drive bay HDD cage. Other then that, there's not a whole lot different. Then again, the basis of the Scout 2 already is really good.

Very handy of course is the carry around handle, fill up that PC and up-to 30 KG you are good to go as that's what the handle can handle (nice wordplay, eh?). Now the chassis series is available in three colors tones, Midnight Black, Gunmetal Grey and Ghost White (really - who makes up these names?). We received the Ghost White edition and gosh, it is so difficult to photograph in our studio. White is the new black though... meaning White is the trend in chassis color right now. You'll spot white mice and keyboards soon as well. Now I like the white color tones much better then the all black designs. But yes, that's a personal and thus a subjective opinion.

Features and innovation wise this chassis is quite original. Cooler Master chassis are just a pleasure to review time after time, and each and every time they achieve to improve on the case in some way, form or manner. I do wish though that the Advanced edition of this Scout 2 chassis would have had a fan controller.

Let's get back to style though, as that's the ever so important factor. We say it over and over again, taste is the most subjective thing and is not making the job of reviews any easier. Some will hate it, and others will love this chassis for its looks. Fact is that if the aesthetics suit you, then for 110 EUR you are looking at a very impressive chassis.

Aside from a fan controller and maybe a card reader there's very little left to be desired. The chassis offers optimal cooling, dust filters, the handle with rubberized grip, USB 3.0 integration, tool free design, and much much more.

Concluding

Overall the chassis is great, internals too as by removing the upper drive cage even the most lengthy graphics card will fit, heck even two of them if your motherboard allows it. Then there's place for liquid cooling, the really nice motherboard cutout and then there's just plenty of space left for cable routing through the grommet holes, all in that white/black painted interior.

Cooler Master has been able to out a long list of impressive cases over the past few years from that legendary Cosmos to the gamer oriented HAF and Storm series. Each and every release is a hit with the one condition that you like the style of course. The CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced simply offers a good combination of features, looks at a more reasonable price. Currently you can spot these cases for 110 USD/EUR and I will agree that the asking price is not cheap for a mid-tower chassis, I know but once you pick one up for the very first time you'll understand where the money went, trust me as the build quility simply is really good.

We like it, and as such Guru3D.com will wholeheartedly recommend the Cooler Master CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced Ghost White edition, okay... that name could be a tad shorter though!
