So in retrospect, the chassis supports up to 10 SSDs (4 in the removable HDD/SSD combo cage, 1 behind the M/B tray) and 7 HDDs with HDD/SSD combo trays. Pretty cool, huh? There are 3 designated places for radiators: 240mm: top, front; 120mm: rear.

In front of the drive bay sits a big whopper, a 200mm fan. The chassis supports up to three 200mm large fans for extreme airflow with support for up to 9 total fans (KKN1: 9 fans, KWN1: 7 fans - KWN1 is the window version).

The CM 690 III will support up to three 5.25" optical drives and installation seriously cannot be any easier. To install them you can use an all tool-less rail. You just move the switch into the open position and then slide the drive into the bay. Once in, you simply flip the switch back into the lock position and that's it. New ODD tool-less design is called “EZ tray”.

Here we see the chassis with the side panels removed. This is the backside, there is decent enough room for proper cable management on the backside, we see plenty of grommet holes for wire routing and of course that big gap for easy access of the CPU cooler.

All in all a great chassis with some really good features. Have a peek at the side panel, see that indentation? That's extra room for cable routing. And that's next to the following:

The distance inbetween the motherboard tray and the side panel is 2cm. Add to that the panel indentation and you will have plenty of room for cable management.
