At the bottom to the left we see a lot of space for even the biggest ATX power supplies. No problem. Once seated the PSU will sit on two rubber strips that will adsorb vibrations created by the PSU when powered on.
To the right you can see another drive cage, that one is intended for 2.5" HDD and SSDs. The cage is removable as well to help out with drive installation, or to give you more room for liquid cooling gear or additional fans. At the bottom another removable dust filter has been fitted.
And here the backside of the chassis, behind the motherboard. There is plenty of space for cable routing, the Trooper might only have three routing points but they are all very large and located at every key location on a ATX / ATX-XL motherboard. Also we see a huge mainboard tray cutout, that's for replacing fan brackets that need to be mounted at the backside of the motherboard. Easy access. That cutout is huge alright, yet does not make the mainboard tray any less sturdy.
All three cable routing ports have rubber inserts, again for that clean look.
At the backside here we can spot the two 3.5" drive cages that can house up-to eight 3.5" HDDs. Being positioned this way you do not have a messy slurry of cable spaghetti at the other side of the chassis. Simple yet so clever really and aesthetically is cleans up the overall looks at the motherboards side as well. These drive bays can be removed to make space for a big extra radiator. So these modular units can be rotated, front to back, side to side or removed altogether.
You'll find plenty of tool-less drive trays that will support 3.5 drives to be inserted in the chassis. Installation of the HDDs is really easy.
You can place into one of the eight 3.5" drive trays by slightly bending on each side to create additional room for the drive to fit into. Once on the tray the hard drive is locked in place with four pins that fit into the screw holes on the sides.
Then you just slide it on until it you hear a click, and from there on its secured, as easy as that.
