Some in-game screenshots
Image quality overall have increased with this release albeit a tiny bit, you will notice OK visuals throughout the game, yet sometimes there are textures that will make eyes look the other way. This applies to the entire game, but overall it drove upwards image quality wise by a notch over the previous releases if you balance out settings just right.
Overall, (for our tests) we nearly max out image quality settings, and it is looking okay at best. We'll show you some more later on in the article.
Advanced Warfare debuts a next-gen upgrade game engine that has powered Duty titles since Call of Duty 2 back in 2005. Under the hood, there are over half a dozen significant updates, including the addition of tessellation, enabling the creation of somewhat detailed environments. This is Tryachs vision of night-vision --- anyone want to puke ? That really looked like 2005 graphics in game.
The overall scene quality is a mixed bag, make no mistake these are screenshots we took ourselves, in-game. Overall OK but sometimes you will be scratching behind your ear as to why this game likes so much horsepower in terms of your graphics hardware and processor power needed. The usage of motion blurring also has become a feature that is used a little bit too often as far as I am concerned.
