Asus: Part 2

Since AMD launched their 6850 and 6870 the day before Blizzcon I quickly looked for Asus's new cards. Nothing. After inquiring with a representative it was made clear that NVIDIA was such a significant sponsor of Blizzcon that there would be nothing of AMD to be found anywhere. Very disappointing. Had a nice chat regarding the 6800's though.

While you all may be quite happy with the sudden price drops in video cards, the hardware vendors are less so, they pour a lot of money into R&D and don't like to see their profit margins go up in smoke like that. So with no AMD products to see what would we see at Blizzcon? Last year Asus showed off many of their motherboards, but this year it seems laptops seem to be the in thing. And 3D. Waaaaay too much 3D. Asus may have had on display every laptop they had, here's a just a few of them.

To finish it off, Asus also had a number of custom systems utilizing Asus motherboards and video cards were on display.
