Rear Inputs

Beresford DAC

We found the Beresford unit has a great input section allowing the end user to connect up many different digital audio sources and flip through them at the push of a button.

We have S/Pdif coaxial inputs 1 and 2, Optical S/Pdif input and a USB connection.

We connected up an optical, coaxial S/Pdif cables and a USB connection.  We tried switching between them looking for switching noise or pops when selecting the various inputs but found none.

This unit offers both fixed power line outputs and an adjustable preamp output offer class A amplifier design and sound quality.  We found this system allows great flexibility depending on what you are driving with this unit such as a fixed preamp or an adjustable speaker or headphones amplifier.  We tried a few different configurations using some of our reference gear and the output produced no noise or scratchiness when the pot was used to adjust the output volume.
