The ELT 525M Mini Monitors

Packaging

We felt sorry for the Fed-Ex man lugging that large box all the way up our 3 flights of stairs to the G3D Audio Lab. The 2 Speaker weigh in at 26 Lbs and while not that heavy the box is quite large when lifting up stairs but quality packaging ensures undamaged products.

The speakers are cradled in high density foam on both ends and the speaker enclosures are wrapped in strong cloth to keep the finish unmarked. This packaging was definitely designed to take abuse from heavy handed worker and rough equipment use.
The entire review system arrived in pristine condition, without a scratch, mark or dent to speak of.

The speakers have a high quality wood finish which reminds one of high quality furniture as they are designed to be used in a living room so this finish help them blend with other components making up a modern living or media room.
The enclosures are perfectly milled with zero defects or blemishes after a very close detailed inspection. No rough edges, sloppy construction or any imperfections could be found. Let's take a closer look at this 2.0 monitoring system.

The black cloth front grills are removable if you prefer the see your drivers. The black grills give a sleeker more modern look in our opinion. Here we can see the tuned rear firing port. This port is made to specific dimensions allowing it to hold a known volume of air. This air vibrates at a known frequency allowing the system to produce a great deal more bass then it could without this design addition. Let get a side view as these speakers are pretty hefty considering their weight.

Again, we can see the flawless finish added to these monitors by AV123. Let's have a look at the system without any grills and we can discuss the driver's choices for these enclosures.

Here we can see the difference between the two styles. Personally, we like them with the grills off, they look more like studio monitors. Both styles look great though and will match well with pretty much any type of PC desk or furniture.
