Opamps - LM4562NA

Yes, we have to suggest using this opamp as we feel part of its notoriety comes from its use in the original X-Meridian generation 1 and helped bring this chip to the fore-front for soundcards modders everywhere.  It wasn't long before companies took notice of the more influential modders and started using them on their newest cards.

The 2G is no different and using the LM4562NA or other family members improves the sound quality.  The chip refines the high end, tightens the bass and improves the sound quality across the board.

We build a lot of opamps in the Guru3D Audio Lab for testing and our personal enjoyment.  We decided to take the LMs to the next level and go with some TO-99 metal can versions.  We built a set of LME49720HA for use with this card and we got improved clarity, lower mid bass but more articulate low bass.

Cards that offer full opamp replacement offer the user endless possibilities for dialing in the sound to their personal tastes or to produce better synergy with your playback system.

It is great to be able to use a different opamp for your subwoofer then you use for your fronts and rears. We built a custom unit that uses a LME49710HA for the center channel and a OPA227 for the bass output to produce excellent bass and a crystal clear center channel.  We did a great deal of opamp testing and listening test with our custom opamps and this card offers and excellent platform for the fledgling opamp swapper.
