This is your standard MOLEX type connector. A way better solution that we have seen on the 9700 models. This one is much stronger and more sturdy.
The heatsink, a lot of cool ribbons. I guess power wattage/usage has increased and therefore a better cooling solution was needed. It does it's job perfectly.
