Athlon II X3 435 Overclocking

Athlon II X3 435 Overclocking

Typically overclocking a non BE edition AMD processor is a little harder to do. But with the temperatures being that good .. we just had to give it a try and with success.

We used a simple 35 USD OCZ Vendetta 2 air-cooler and reached 3647 MHz stable. If you use a decent cooler or even better, water-cooling really you might get lucky and even higher.

So here we have a 55 EUR processor clocked at roughly 3650 MHz. You'll agree with me that this is a very extensive overclock based on an air CPU cooler.

We overclocked from the BIOS. We ended up stable at a MP of 14.5 x 251.5 MHz =  3647 MHz. We applied a voltage of 1.475 Volts. Be sure to check out the CPU temperatures in the screenshot --  that's 36 C / 95 F on full load only (!).
