Located at the backside we can see the ventilation hole, very silent I must say, and it will power on/off depending on temperature and or connfiigurable fan preference. You can configure power saving and fan options in the software suite.

Lots of connection options including three USB 3.0 (two at the back one in the front), two USB 2.0, and two eSATA ports can be spotted. The unit sports two Gigabit Ethernet ports to support fail-over and dual-IP setups. Very interesting to see is that at the backside you will also spot a HDMI 1.4a and S/PDIF connector, yes the unit can function as an HTPC as well. You can playback videos from your NAS directly to your HDTV and or audio system.

So connectivity wise you are covered. All the way top to the left is the power on/off switch. At the lower left you can see a USB 3.0 connector, and also a button surrounding it. This is a backup function, press it and all your important firmware related items and configuration options will be backup-ed to the device connected to that USB 3.0 port. Very handy. 

As stated, we also received a remote control. This is an optional item that you can purchase, it comes in very handy if you like to use this unit as an HTPC unit, content playback on 1080 (Full HD) is supported including playback with XBMC or Kodi as it is called these days.
