So the ASUS STRIX Radeon R9 380 edition we received is a 2GB version with a dual-fan STRIX design heatpipe cooler (DirectCU II based). It has two PCIe PEG power connectors (6-pin). The card has been designed to be a nice match for Full HD gaming, up-to 1080P. AMD however is positioning these cards as a great alternative for 2560x1440 gaming as well, so we will place a focus on that in the review.

The R9 380 is armed with 2 GB graphics memory @ 5.5  Gbps / 256-bit to get you a little more leash with resolutions and image quality settings. The reference clocked products will run with clock freqeuncy up-to 918 MHz on its 1792 shader processors, this 3rd party model is clocked at roughly one GHz for you.

The card has been designed to be a match for Full HD gaming, up-to 1080P, with 2GB models, you probably shouldn't go higher anyway. The reality though is that the Radeon R9 380 performance wise honestly is at Radeon HD 7950 / 280 / 285 like performance yet with only 2 GB of graphics memory.
