Features and Benefits

I have to admit that Asus has been doing some pretty good packaging as of late, and while thankfully the CineVibe isnt in a blister pack, its packaged entirely in a plastic box with a cardboard box sleeve.  Its recycled plastic for what its worth, but still plastic.

Love the see-through packaging. Hard to take pictures of it though.

The CineVibe is available in several countries and languages, this being the UK version.  Available in black and white colors, at time of writing, there is no word on a North America version.

I like the packaging.  It's effective, you can see the headphones and you get a nice cardboard shell with all the pretty pictures and bullet points.

One of the best boxes we've seen, actually.

Speaking of bullet points, lets take a look at the Specs:

  • Speaker size 30mm
  • Cable length 1.5 meter
  • Impedance Vibration on: 16ohm
  • Vibration off: 32ohm
  • Frequency response Headset: 20 Hz 20 KHz
  • Microphone: 100 Hz 10 KHz
  • Input sensitivity Vibration on: 105dB +/- 5dB at 1mW from HATS 4158C at 1 KHz
  • Vibration off: 103dB +/- 5dB at 1mW from HATS 4158C at 1 KHz

By the way, the HATS 4158C is a specification for measuring headphones and headsets using a model head and torso of a person.  Also known as Fritz, the idea is to mimic as close as possible the acoustic properties of an average adult human head and torso; measuring headphones sitting on a dummy head and torso with microphones in its head means what is measured will be more like what you, an actual human, will hear.  This is related to HRTFs, which if anyone remembers Sensaura, was the breakthrough that made 3D audio much more realistic.
