Ultra High Definition 4K - 3840x2160 Performance

Gaming At 3840x2160 FPS Performance With Modern Games

I'll start off with Ultra HD numbers with the GeForce GTX 780 Ti in SLI and radeon HD 290X in Crossfire included.

So on this page I want to show you an overview of rendering performance with a series of High-end and Enthusiast level graphics cards. “FullHD” 1920x1080 has become the industry standard within the display industry, but enthusiasts will never settle for just standard and are always looking for the next big innovation in technology. Ultra HD gaming is the next evolution in immersion that gamers have been waiting for. Commonly addressed as Ultra HD, UHD or 4K, this new resolution refers to the ultra-high resolutions with approximately 4000 horizontal pixels. Ultra HD resolution also has four times the number of pixels of a typical 1920x1080 resolution.

With four times the pixels, a new level of immersion can be created for gamers on a single display. Gamers will be able to experience richer details and a new sense of realism with the next generation of gaming on Ultra HD displays.  Over time these Ultra HD charts will build up, so please understand that the following two pages functions as an indication of what we need in the not so far away future.

  • DirectX 11
  • High Quality settings
  • 2x MSAA
  • 16x AF
  • Internal benchmark
For the single GPU cards, if you disable AA you will gain up-to a third in performance making the games playable enough. But look at the Multi-GPU solutions go, at 50+ FPS you can't really complain my man. R9-290X in Crossfire is extremely close to the R9-295x2. But the same can be said for the GeForce GTX 780 Ti in SLI.

  • DirectX 11
  • Ultra Quality mode with DDOD enabled
  • FXAA enabled
BioShock was the one title where NVIDIA gains a lot of ground as of recently, but it is no match for the 295x2 alright, close though... very close.

  • Medal of Honor Warfighter is set at Ultra image Quality
  • 4x MSAA enabled (deferred)
Medal of Honor Warfighter is just GORGEOUS in Ultra HD, and with a 295x2 you'll be playing it close to 60 FPS my man. That's with all eye-candy maxed out.

  • DX11
  • Ultra Quality mode
  • FX AA enabled
  • 16x AF enabled
  • Hair Quality Normal (TressFX disabled)
  • Tessellation On
  • SSAO Ultra

Our scores are average frame rates so you need to take a margin in mind for lower FPS at all times. As such we say 40 FPS for overall should be your minimum, while 60 FPS (frames per second) can be considered optimal. Roughly 80 FPS for the 295x2. Daaaumn!
