Final Words & Conclusion

The Verdict

So while this article was a small review on the NexXxoS XP Bold HIGHFLOW CPU Cooler for Socket 1366, Core i7 obviously this also was the final part, the extension to our Project X article. Project-X, building a very high-end system that is aesthetically pleasing, stable and silent. At the finish line I can say that I am happy with the results achieved. it was an expensive project, yet very worth wile.

In conclusion and relation to the Alphacool NexXxoS XP Bold water-block. I think it's a good and impressive product. Based on merely passive water-cooling this water-block was able to remove heaps of heat from the Core i7 processor. Though at 4000 MHz we reached temperature that was disproportionate, the temperatures would still be still acceptable as the test conditions we apply are basically so extreme, that you'll probably never reproduce such a situation at home. Except, when you are transcoding, encode multi-threaded over the processor for an extended and long timeframe. You of course easily can get the temperatures down, with a high-end radiator and some 120mm fans or even 1/2" tubing and stronger pump. These are all options. And my option was to creative an efficient yet in-audible environment. Mission accomplished for sure.

guru3d-recommended_150px.jpgAt 45 EUR the NexXxoS XP Bold HIGHFLOW CPU block is not among the cheapest out there, but it certainly isn't very expensive either. I feel it's priced right. Do not underestimate a components like a good water-block. Regulating that water flow and moving heat from the CPU into your coolant .. well , it's half the cooling job already. The other half is of course your water-cooling kit like tubing, reservoir, pump, coolant and radiator. There's some good stuff out there. We met our needs real well though, and we can say with confidence, that the NexXxoS XP Bold HIGHFLOW CPU block is a very efficient and aesthetically pleasing one. Highly recommended folks, highly recommended.
