AMD A10 6790 review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/02/2014 08:15 AM [ 16 comment(s) ]

We review the AMD A10 6790 APU processor, the little brother of the 6800K and the big brother of the 6700 that just became available in the stores. With performance close to the 6800 this might be the budget APU to pick up and build yourself a nice Windows 8 PC. Based on the Piledriver architecture this processor slash graphics hybrid symbiosis called APU remains hard to beat in terms of features performance and well all the goodness you can expect from a great APU. Value and fun is what the platform offers.

Core i7 4820K processor review 4

In this review we test the new four-core Core i7 4820K Ivy Bridge-E (IBE) processor. This is the only quad-core IBE processor that Intel will release. But it is unlocked and as such direct competition for the Core i7 4770K. That alone is interesting as X79 as a platform offers more PCIe lanes. But how well will this processor fare against Intel's own pride and joy the 4770K ? let's go check it out.
