Also integrated is a benchmark mode, very handy. Now we'll not be using the standard benchmark yet our own scripted test run in the Ensenada Port circuit set in Baja California level where we can drive through sand, mud and water to measure the most prominent DX11 features like DX11 Hardware tessellation, Geometry instancing and displacement mapping -- plus obviously more complex shader usage. let's go check out both the DX9 and DX11 image quality and performance. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic PC review

Being English, you’d think I would be used to the rain by now, but every year, as the days draw in, become altogether gloomier and more depressing it’s easy to get frustrated (and wet!). It was on one such morning, that a package dropped onto the door mat. Eagerly unwrapping it, I stood staring at a gate into a world of devilry, sorcery, Orcs and villains. ‘Ahhh....’ I thought to myself... that’s just perfect for a winter escape! So, in I jumped (well, actually I pressed the ‘on’ button), readying myself for a heroic quest against all that is evil, and a self gratifying amount of time slaying foes by my bloodied sword... Orcs of the world beware! Read article

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Posted by: Mike Sowerby on: 04/22/2006 07:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Cyrodiil is a dangerous place, enter it with caution as it is in a dimension all of its own, where 5 hours seems like 10 minutes and an unexpected adventure lies around every corner. Each of these adventures is so compelling as to deprive you of the comfort of your own bed, offering some new interest. What’s more, the freedom of this game is staggering. Go buy and sell, do a few quests, some treasure hunting in one of the many caves or mines, explore the wonders of the land. The list goes on, and that’s before you even touch on the main quest. A hint at just how expansive this game is appears at the beginning with the fantastic character creation tools. I must have spent over half an hour or more playing around with every conceivable detail of my characters appearance and I’m sure many others could spend far longer. It is also here that the story begins. With you, as seems to be traditional in Elderscrolls games, starting your journey in a prison cell. As luck would have it, the Emperor happens to be passing through for reasons I won’t divulge here, and releases you from your captive state. Read article
