 Zalman Reserator 1 Plus

The Verdict

Wow, if you are a sucker for silence like yours truly then you'll have to agree with me that this is one impressive kit for various reasons.

First off all, all you skeptics out there saying "Yeah but Hilbert, your CPU and GPU temperature reached almost 50-55 Degrees C! I can do that with active cooling!". Yes, true, you are right. But the entire point of this Reserator kit is silence and you need to focus on that for this product.

Today we cooled down two extremely expensive high-end pieces of hardware towards a very acceptable heat level. Now if we left out the GPU in this kit the temperature would easily be lower than 45 Degrees C. Easily! Yet consider that the high-end Series 7 graphics card is dumping bulky amounts of heat into that water circuitry and the reserator is still capable of cooling down the components more than sufficiently. Spectacular, that's what this kit is. Granted it's not the cheapest method of cooling but people please, you can pick up the kit as tested today at 220 USD already. This kit brings you everything you need including waterblocks, tubing, the reservoir with pump, coolant, flow meter and of course all the other essentials and non-essentials.

Then there is the installation part. Setup of the kit is so uncomplicated. Any average Joe can install a system similar to what I showed you today in about 1-2 hours of time. My recommendation of course is to take it slow, be relaxed and make sure there are no leaks. Double check everything and do not be afraid. Once you have everything setup (use our article as a guide) you'll absolutely love this kit.

Performance of the kit is truly amazing as we have two very hot components maxed out at ~55 Degrees C at 100% utilization with no audible noise at all. Now granted, the FX-57 is not exactly a Prescott based Pentium 4 processor on which you can fry an egg, but in combo with the 7800 GT the outcome is really exciting and the temperature within very safe operating limits. Overclockers however might want to go for more performance. In that case you'll be back to square one with active watercooling with the big ol' fans blowing over a radiator.

So if you are on the lookout for an easy to install, safe to use, effective and most of all silent cooling solution then by all means do not hesitate. We really can recommend this kit. It is absolutely amazing to literally hear nothing as this kit is completely inaudible . You will love the complete and sheer silence of the Reserator 1 Plus, as well as the extraordinary looks.  My compliments to Zalman as they really did a nice job here. Very enjoyable.

My personal thanks go out to Zalman USA for supplying the Reserator 1 Plus. What fantastic gear you guys make!
