 Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos

I was about to grab a screenshot to show the chat room, but even Eddie Murphy would scowl at the language used.

In the end, I found myself playing this more for the advancement of the storyline, more than the fun of the missions or quests. The hero addition didn't do anything for me, other than the fact he or she was a great addition to the army. If they died, I didn't care, I'd just make another one. I also really didn't pay too much attention to the items they searched for, because in the end, it all boiled down to numbers you could throw at an enemy to achieve victory.

An extra item on one hero wasn't going to do anything to turn the tide of a war faster than punching out 20 Gryphon riders. Had they given some purpose and importance to heroes, maybe some experience loss or effect on your town if your hero died, I might have cared enough about the hero to not throw him at anything out there.

The graphics are nice, you can finally adjust the camera angle, and the game is stable and produces a top notch storyline. Although this title doesn't rejuvenate a monotonous genre, it does provide a lot of fun and interaction in an incredible story. The likes of which sets up the foundation of World of Warcraft (Blizzard's upcoming MMORPG) perfectly. For all the people that have written me and want a score, I now have a tally of five seperate areas. From 1 to 10.
