A three-way ATX PC case shootout

Dear fellowship of Guru's ...  welcome to yet another article here on Guru3D.com This time we will include three products into one wide-ranging review, this article is all about PC cases. There is so much variety these days isn't it ? Now I have stated it many times already but can you still remember the dull beige cases we had used to have ? I think it was only three-four years ago when we notice a big trend happening .. everybody was tired of that dull colored and way too heavy PC casing. PC cases these days have evolved tremendously. They have large see through windows, intelligent cooling techniques, some are made of aluminum, can be tool less, some have wicked spray paint jobs and thus some of them simply look unbelievably beautiful.

Many of you (the readers) desire a non-standard PC Case, face it... you are a visitor here at Guru3D.com, which means you yearn for the finest hardware. One big deficit though, if you are one of those people who is, well, too lazy to case-mod. Or perhaps you have two left hands, do not like blood from sawing that steel while slicing and gutting your hands open, or simply do not have the time to make a case-mod. Then what to do? Luckily for us there are large number of companies out there who saw this gap in the market that needed to be filled. You can pretty much buy anything of your liking these days for very acceptable prices as this market is becoming a huge one.

Companies wised up the trend though and you can now buy the most beautifully pre-modified or stylish PC cases. Art is the word we should be using today as it's the products today are all really good in it's segment.

Let me make this clear though, this is not a roundup in the sense of which case will be number one. Each of the cases today serves a different segment .. we see a casing for the gamers, the "style'ish" consumer and the consumer that needs optimal cooling. So this basically is nothing more than three case reviews combined into one.

The products tested today will be the dreamy looking X-Cruiser from fun company Aspire. Then XG, a division of MGE, recently launched a new all-aluminum chassis based on a snakehead design, and the reason for it's name, Viper 2.

And from iCute / Casepower.com.tw we will have a look at the cutest little mid-tower called the Coolive with some incredibly interesting features.
