See Thermaltake recently released a new PC case. Targeted at the high-end and enthusiast consumer with a diminutive amount of money to spare, Thermaltake offers a new series of PC ATX/BTX ready casings. It's widely compatible with all mainboards and has a certain balanced feel to it. It's huge, it's heavy, it's impressive, it's beautiful and it's called the Tai Chi. Now you all have heard about that phrase Tai Chi, but what does it mean exactly? Hey, obviously Thermaltake choose the name for a reason. Well you're on Guru3D.com so allow me to lecture a minute.

The Chinese characters for Tai Chi Chuan can be translated as the 'Supreme Ultimate Force'. The notion of 'supreme ultimate' is often associated with the Chinese concept of yin-yang, the notion that one can see a dynamic duality (male/female, active/passive, dark/light, forceful/yielding, etc.) in all things. 'Force' (or, more literally, 'fist') can be thought of here as the means or way of achieving this ying-yang, or 'supreme-ultimate' discipline.

So this huge piece aluminum beast sitting next to me is a supreme ultimate force, the balance of mind and body? Well only one way to find out, let's kick out a review on it!

Yes my friends, I have stated the following in many reviews. The boring beige casing standard has left us for good and may I say thank God for that! Those beige PC casings we all remember have been slowly phased out over the past 3 years. That's right only three years ago was the point in time where a cluster of that community of ours figured, hey this case is boring. Let's use a saw, make a window, insert a light plus some extra fans in it and drill some ventilation holes. The most beautiful modification could and can be found and a lot of them are still a piece of art. Companies wised up the trend though and you can now buy the most beautifully pre-modified or stylish PC cases. Art is the word we should be using today as it's a piece of that alright.

First things first, the Tai Chi series casing from Thermaltake is actually available in two versions, the "normal" version that we received for this review, or thanks to that gorgeous spacious design of the casing, you can buy a version with liquid watercooling built in. Since we didn't receive that version, we'll have do that ourselves eh?
