SunBeamTech UFO Acrylic Cube Case review

By: Hilbert Hagedoorn | Edited by John A. Johnsen | Published: November 2, 2007

Alright, before we begin the in-depth photo-shoot, let me make something clear. This case is 100% clear and comes in a low profile cube. Low as in "this is not intended for high-end gear."

The chassis is divided into two separate levels. The lower part is for your HD's, optical and PSU. The upper part for your mainboard plus peripherals. Very nice, as it's really easy to not only look at yet also reach your components. We'll show you that later though.

Alright, yes .. I didn't mention that. It doesn't come hassle free, you need to build this unit from ground up. No worries though, we'll show you a thing or two.

The UFO Acrylic Cube comes unassembled and well packed with lots of foam protection.

After removing the outer protection, we look at the innards of the box with all the pieces. Everything is nicely separated with thin foam sheets. With all this protection, damage during shipping will be kept to a minimum. The only real danger from damage is from the carelessness of the end user building the cube.
