 SunBeamtech Tuniq 3 chassis review

The verdict

I think it's the second or third chassis we have tested from SunbeamTech/Tuniq, and I have to admit, each and every case has always impressed me a little. The designs usually are quite unique and seem to be well-built. Now we are definitely not talking about high-end stuff here. Come on at 69 USD that's not a reality. Don't expect removable mainboard trays and stuff like that. But for 69 USD you do receive a lot of casing. A fairly easy to install product, cold cathode lights, unique design, sturdy chassis. That's not bad at all for that money eh ?

It really is a good case for various reasons and the chassis is built solidly, not lightweight. The idea behind the internal "3-D Core fan" is a very nice marketing gimmick but it definitely will get some extra airflow over your CPU or whatever you point it at. One small side note on that unit though; it isn't the easiest thing to move around and install. You'll loose a couple of minutes altering it if needed, but hey if that's all it's hardly even worth mentioning right ? The core fan does work though as there is a lot of airflow inside the PC cooling down various components. That by itself is commendable. The case however is not silent in the sense that you'll hardly hear it. It is audible, and you can hear it for sure much like their previous designs.

What I like about this case is the tool-less design. Insert a graphics card and you "click" it secure. Insert an optical drive and slide it in, that's just lovely.

In short this PC case is made for the people who like good cooling yet do not want to own a screamy flashly lit PC. The guys from SunBeamtech/Tuniq did a very nice job in designing a mid-tower PC case like this.

We understand that design is always a very subjective thing, you either hate or love the design for that matter. But if you like the Tuniq 3 case it is definitely worth considering when you are on the market for a new well ventilated casing with the looks of a design chassis. Definitely recommended.

We'd like to thank Sunbeamtech for submitting the chassis for a review.

Manufacturer: Sunbeamtech
Price: 69 USD (MSRP)
