Photos continued

Just a few more photos of the X-Audio to round out the pictorial.  I used a Sony V3 with a homemade 4'x3'x3' lightbox and four 125w flourescent bulbs.  It shows, don't it?  I'm being sarcastic, thanks.

Glamour shot

Lots of electrolytic capacitors, and a lot more empty PCB space.  I was a bit freaked out about that low hanging cap near the PCIe connector, but it plugged in just fine.

Backside

Not much going on with the back of the board.  All the Auzen cards we've seen have printed labels for the connectors right on the back of the PCB, which we miss here.

Nicely color coded, but lacking in gold.  You know, now that I think about it, my wife says the same thing about herself, hint, hint.

I don't like open connector blocks because they pick up dust.  Well, at least in my computer they do.

Work it, work it...

Yup, no denying, for the first time in years, Sound Blasters now have a standard digital output in the form of a S/PDIF connector.

This now concludes our pictorial expose.  On to the software!
