A closer look

When we take a closer look at the front panel of the Snap Server 1100 we'll notice that is has four status lights — System, Ethernet Link and Net (activity), and Disk activity, with the System light flashing about once per second, once the 1100 has booted.

The rear panel holds the 10/100 Mbit/sec Ethernet port, a Power jack, hardware Reset and Power on/off buttons. It would have been nice to see the power-supply integrated into the product itself.
Since it's a server, does it make noise ? Yeah, for sure. But it's very quiet though. Once there is a lot of activity an active fan will kick in. It's nothing bad, though it's another fan in my office choir of active fans.
