What did you first come here for?

Video drivers

What do you mainly use the system for?

Gaming and some multimedia uses here and there

How much did you spend on the rig?

Well, just about everything I either got for christmas or was givin to me... so really I just bought 4 cans of spray paint at USD$5.88 a can, and the two sets of cold cathodes I got for $9.99 a piece on newegg.com

How often do you update/buy a new rig?

Just depends on what's going on with it, currently it can run all my games fine so no need for an update yet.

What components are used?

I've got an AMD Athlon 2700+ with 512MB of generic DDR400. For gaming I turned to BFG and got a 5900 Ultra. After about 6 months it failed so I sent it in to BFG and sure enough they sent me back a 6800 OC! I've got a total of three hard drives, a Western Digital 120GB 7,200RPM IDE, a 80GB Hitachi 7,200 RPM IDE, and the smallest of the bunch, a 60GB Maxtor 7,200 RPM IDE, for optical uses I got a Magicspin 8x DVD+-RW. For sound processing duties I use the onboard nVidia 6-channel and a Philips PSC705, and for a little more multimedia useage I have a Hauppauge WinTV FM Tv Tuner.  I've got all of these parts on a DFI NFII 400-AL motherboard running the nForce2 chipset. All of this is stuffed into a Aspire X-Navigator

Why ATI or NVIDIA, why Intel/AMD?

Well, nVidia is cheap, and just my flavor. AMD because it was free and runs good!

Does the system work as expected?

Yeah, runs flawlessly

What's the best part of your rig?

Definitely my BFG 6800 OC

What sucks and should not have been bought?

Nothing really...

Modified cases/video cards/other? Did you do it yourself? Walk us through it.

The only really thing modified is the paint job that I did, I removed everything and washed the case down real well, removed acrylic window from the side panel and started painting.  The color I used is 'Bahama Blue'

3DMark scores?

I get about 9337 3DMarks on a cool day.  :)

Future upgrades?

Probably upgrade my motherboard processor when I get the chance.
