Photos - Radeon HD 4830 512MB

On the next few pages we'll show you some photos. The images were taken at high-res and then scaled down. The camera used was a Canon 450D 12 MegaPixel.

So .. whoop there it is. The Radeon HD 4830, courtesy of HIS technology hence the rather unusual design. For a reasonably priced card I think that's quite something handsome. AND I like not to stumble into a red PCB color for a change. Two DVI connectors (HDCP capable). Quite a sight for the eyes.

When we place the card into a perspective view, the one thing that catches the eye is the cooler. It works quite well actually. Pretty decent temperatures versus a fine noise level. What's not to like. Well, one thing actually ... due to its height, the cooler uses up two slots. All the way in the back we spot a copper heat spreader, underneath it you can find voltage regulators which typically can get quite warm.

When we flip the board around once more we can see CrossfireX connectors. In theory it's possible to hook up three of these cards and get them working together, though we advise not to use more than two for best compatibility.

Here we see that heat spreader a little better by the way. Also make note of the fact you'll need a PSU with 6-pin power connector to AMP up the card a little. A 6-pin to Molex power converter is not included into the package.
