In today's review we'll be having a look at a product from PowerColor. Now then; a lot of you know this particular brand as they have been around for quite a few years now and the true ancient guru's among you will even remember a few product reviews from them in the past. Most of you who have been hanging around with me for a while and know me a bit better also know that I'm pretty straight forward and say things like they are. So three -four years ago I was extremely displeased with the quality of the PowerColor product line. The samples we received were made out of bad components, their videocards had lousy filters producing bad 2D and 3D quality, their mainboards were a complete joke and the list went on. At that timeframe I decided to halt our affiliation with them as I was that displeased and could not support their products through this media outlet of ours.
Quite honestly I never expected PowerColor to be around in 2004 as I figured their reputation at one point would get to them but hey, they're still here. A few weeks ago I was contacted by a representative of Tul, the actual company that is responsible for the PowerColor line of products, asking if we would be interested in reviewing some of their products.
Tul is a leader within the PC industry and owns the brand of PowerColor, which is already well-known as the world's third largest provider of graphic cards and the number one supplier of graphics boards powered by ATI graphic processors.
Meanwhile, Tul is also a leading provider of motherboards, barebones systems, thin clients, and Home Gateway Services -making Tul one of the PC industry's fastest growing suppliers of integrated PC product solutions to customers around the globe.

So given the fact it had been a long time and PowerColor was still around, I figured something must have changed. What the heck... perhaps they improved their products. So I agreed to do a review on the Radeon x800 pro.
Within that context I have to say that of course over the years I have been following them. We have seen a lot of discussion about the products in our forums and the trend shows that things have improved for the better for sure. So today we will be reviewing the PowerColor Radeon x800 Pro. With that being said, let's start up this review beginning with a small overview of the Radeon x800 Pro.
