Packaging .. we start with it first always. We always show the packaging so you can recognize the product in the stores. Clear packaging, all primary features are marked onto he packaging, hard to miss really.

Inside the package you'll find : 1 x bitching nice gaming mouse, 1 x Instruction manual, extra removable side grip, weights (includes set with 6x ± 5g weights), and 1 x Software/Driver CD. First impression, it's a nice looking mouse alright, feels kind of spacey - somehow The movie Aliens vs. Predator comes to mind somehow .. (I'm weird like that).

Weight is perfect for me, and also worthwhile to mention is that the USB cable is not a standard rubber wire, yet made out of braided cloth.

A closer look at Smog -- the mouse; a very ergonomic design. It will fit right handed people really well. If you are lefty you will  have an issue as it is really designed for right handed people, sorry.

The mouse is overall single-textured by smooth shiny plastic and to the left and right a soft rubberized insert to keep it nice and firm on your hand. Not at all uncomfortable, and it won't get slippery when wet or sweaty.

Cabling is really nice and lengthy; something like 1.5 meters / 5 ft. Pretty nice.

Here we have left side buttons. The smaller button just all the way below in red is a DPI level switch. You get to choose our of four (programmable) DPI levels. Above that switch, you have the forward and back buttons which are mainly used while navigating on the web.

Top side view - A mode switch -- the macro support allows 5 different modes, each one with high customization level. Then we spot a "Lift" button, this adjusts the lift function and adapts the laser sensor to the mouse pad you're using and then a scroll wheel with four way scrolling (up-down-left-right and click).
