OCZ Gladiator MAX review | test

By: Hilbert Hagedoorn | Edited by Joshua Finger | Published: April 10, 2009

The Gladiator Max heatsink from OCZ technology is based off their latest and greatest CPU cooler that comes with a very similar design, OCZ's own Vendetta series. The product series is known for excellent cooling thanks to its H.D.T (Heat-pipe Direct Touch) design.

HDT in the Gladiator MAX has four 8mm copper heat pipes that come into direct contact your chosen CPU allowing very fast removal of heat. It looks weird though, as you will not see a copper block base plate. After the heat is being pushed directly though the heatpipes where it moves upwards in the heatpipes spreading through the 40 Aluminium fin where a nice 120mm fan is blowing it away.

But please do have a look at some of the specs and then we'll move onto a photo-shoot explaining the product and then of course a test session.
