NZXT Whisper chassis review | test

NZXT Whisper Chassis

Here you can see that bottom 120mm fan a little better. This is your primary inflow of air.The front door opens easily with a slight yank to pull it free from its magnetic latches.

If we move to the top of the chassis, we notice a little hidden door, push it and a front panel with USB ports, audio jacks, and eSATA port poops up.

The mechanism is spring loaded, so it opens up with the speed of Road Runner being chased by Wile E. Coyote - Meep meep.

At the backside nothing too special. We see the exhaust air mesh with 120mm fan in front of it. Also a little lower, we spot two small holes for tubing (liquid-cooling), which becomes more standard these days.

The two pre-drilled holes come with rubber grommets for the liquid cooling tubing. Mind you though, they are small and will not allow anything over ½” tubing. This is one of these design features I can not grasp, if you include the option, why not size it up a tiny bit ?

When we remove two thumbscrews we can slide away the side panel. And here's where you'll start noticing all sound dampening features. Inside that side panel you can see can see the black 10mm noise dampening foam (other panel has this as well. It will block sound coming from the innards of the PC.
